Abstract
Rābiʿa al-ʿAdawiyya has gained widespread fame in Islamic history in general and in the history of Sufism in particular. Despite this extensive fame, debates persist regarding everything associated with her. There is a disagreement among historians concerning her birth date, death date, biography, sayings, and a plethora of divergent and conflicting opinions at times. The article wishes to amend this situation providing a new analysis of the sayings attributed to Rābiʿa al-ʿAdawiyya.
